Cooper Joseph Theodore Mummert, 7 months of Galveston, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, June 12, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  He was born November 11, 2021, to Rhiannon Sanders and Alexander Mummert.

Cooper brought joy to everyone he met and always had a smile and laugh to greet you. He was mamaws “Mr. Serious”.

Surviving family include his parents, Rhiannon Sanders and Alexander Mummert of Galveston; his maternal grandparents, Andy and Becky Sanders; paternal grandparents, Mark and Pam Mummert, and Shawn and Melissa Downey; brother, Jackson and sister, Kennedy.  He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, TT (Uncle B); Mallory (Jesse); Zachy (Casey); Tyty (Paige); and Lizzy; cousins, Lillian Rogers, Brycen Fogelsong, Bodie Fogelsong and Link Reagan.  His bonus family, Caity, Jarret, Cayde, Millie and Grandpa Rob.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Chaplin Joel Flowers officiating.  Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward.  Visitation will be held from 11 – 2 p.m. Saturday prior to services at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Murray Weaver Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.   Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
