Donna Mae Piercy, 88 of Logansport, was surrounded by her family when she passed away early Friday morning, June 10, 2022, in the comfort of her home.
Born April 19, 1934, in Logansport, she was the eighth of nine children born to the late Ross and Nancy (McLeland) Grandstaff .
On July 14, 1950, in the St. James Lutheran Church, she was married to Estal “Wayne” Piercy. He preceded her in death July 28, 1998
Donna Mae had worked part-time for the John J. Hildebrandt Corporation where she made fishing lures.
A faithful and loving Christian woman, Donna Mae was a longtime member of the Yorktown Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, playing video games and watching game shows.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Emmons, Logansport, Susan (John) Carlson, Port Clinton, OH, and Sheila Piercy, Logansport; grandchildren: Donna (Jerry)Thompson Wyndi (John) Thompson, Matthew Rose, David Emmons Jr., Dustin (Stephanie) Emmons, Heather (Bob) Snyder, Derek (Irma) Carlson; great-grandchildren: Andrew Smith, Nathan Thompson, Veronica Anderson-Emmons, Bailey Weaver, Brooke Weaver, Jarryd Woodruff, Paige Snyder, Piper Snyder, Kaylei Carlson, Ava Carlson, Rory Carlson, Sawyer Carlson, Annabelle Shackelford; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce Ann Rose and Sherry Louise Piercy; a son-in-law, David Emmons; five brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Charles Max and Harold Grandstaff; three sisters, Edith King, Agnes Conklin, Irene Garling; grandson Travis Wayne Emmons; and great-grandson, Riley Wayne Carlson.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Racop officiating.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Davis Cemetery near Burnettsville.
