Carol Nadine Mills, 86, Logansport, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born October 6, 1935. in Monticello, she was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Mable (Pherson) Hughes.
On September 21, 1973, in Biloxi, Tennessee, she was married to Donavan Rex Mills. He preceded her in death August 23, 2002.
Carol retired from Switches after working there for 15 years. After retirement she worked for Millers Merry Manor and Chase Center.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Carol was a long time board member of Wilson’s Food Committee.
She enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren especially Isaiah.
Surviving are four step children; one sister-in-law Nora Hughes; thirteen grandchildren, including Paul Hoff; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.
A funeral service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Greentown Cemetery.
