Dorothy M. “Dottie” Harvey, age 73, Logansport, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 19th at home in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her loving family.
Born November 27, 1948, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harry and Florence Jane Corcoran Strahlem.
On June 18, 1994, in Logansport, she married Steve Harvey, who survives.
Dottie graduated LHS in 1967. In 2009, she retired from Federal Mogul (Switches) after 42 years of service.
She enjoyed playing golf and having lunch with her cousins, friends and co-workers. She had dinner with her husband every night. Dottie always looked forward to the five hour drive to Ohio with Sister Jane to visit her son and daughter, Wes and Marie. Dottie was a member of the Logansport Elkettes.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Wesley (Marie) Strahlem, North Canton, OH; brother, John (Jean) Strahlem, Logansport; sister, Jane Patch, Logansport; sister-in-law, Jill Strahlem; and many nieces, nephews and cousins..
Preceding her in death are three brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael, Dave, Bill and Jo Ann Strahlem.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24th at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, also at the funeral home, with Fr. Kyle Neterer officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations o be sent to the Alzheimers Association (ALZ.ORG).
