James Fredrick “Fred” Krise

James “Fred” Fredrick Krise, 78, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

Born November 18, 1943, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late James Robert and Gloria (Foust) Krise

Fred was a retired welder. He had served in the U.S. Army Indiana National Guard.

Fred was a race enthusiast who enjoyed cars of all kinds. He was also a member of the Old Gasser’s Club.

He is survived by his children, Mike Krise (Jennifer Parsehow), Greg Krise, Jeffery (Amy) Etherington, and Kellie (Ray) Boyer; his brother, Jack Krise, seven grandchildren: Heather Phelps, Trevor Boyer, Hannah Etherington, Shyann Boyer, Shaylee Boyer, Lillie Etherington, Nate Etherington; and six great-grandchildren, Dayton Phelps, Hadleigh Phelps, Kiera Phelps, Bradley Boyer, Charlotte Boyer and Elijah Boyer-Rombold.

On September 29, 2020, Fred was preceded in death by his loving companion of 29 years, Janice Etherington. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Sue Krise; and his sister, Connie Sue Bitner.

A Funeral Service celebrating Fred’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, July 18, in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.

Visitation hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday. Dress is casual, car show attire is especially welcome.
