Margaret Ann (Palmer) Culp

Margaret Ann Culp, 84, formerly of Peru, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Clinton House Rehabilitation and Healthcare facility in Frankfort, IN.

Born on January 8, 1938, in Webber Falls, Oklahoma, Margaret is the daughter to the late Veral J. and Rosa (David) Palmer. Margaret worked as a nursing assistant at Logansport Memorial Hospital and Miller’s Merry Manor.  She had also worked for Seybold’s Burger Dairy.

Margaret was a member of Miami Baptist Church, where she also was a member of the Study Club, Choir and past secretary, treasurer and teacher of the Miami Baptist Sunday School.  Margaret was also a member of the local and state Mothers of Twins Club.

Surviving Margaret are four daughters, Brenda L. Culp of Logansport, IN, Jan S. Schreyer of Peru, IN, Teresa L. (Brad Butler) Kirk of Tipton, IN, Lisa A. Hackler of Kokomo, IN; Step Son, Randy F. Culp of Frankfort, IN; three granddaughters, Trisha (Jason Cline) Gillis of Russiaville, IN, Tori (Dustin Small) Kirk of Tipton, IN, Taylor Kirk of Indianapolis, IN; four great-granddaughters, Kaiya Dunn of Kokomo, IN, Audrey Gaines of Alexandria, Addi Dunn of Russiaville, IN, Emma Dunn of Russiaville, IN; two great-grandsons, Jace Dunn of Russiaville, IN, Levi Small of Tipton, IN.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Veral Edward Palmer, mother, Rosa Mae Palmer, father, Veral J. Palmer, two sons-in-law, Joe Schreyer and Jeff Oakley.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff and residents at the Clinton House in Frankfort for their care and compassion shown toward Margaret and her family.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the Gideons or American Cancer Society.
