Last Updated on August 21, 2022 by Gundrum Funeral Home

Dale E. Langley, 65, of Logansport, passed away peacefully in his home, with his family at his side, on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Born on May 3, 1957, in Kokomo, Dale is the son of the late Paul E. and Marie (Cook) Langley. On July 22, 1978, Dale married Glinda K. Powell. They spent 32 wonderful years together, until her passing on August 26, 2010.

Dale was a 1975 graduate of Lewis Cass High School. He worked as a field manager for Matthews International and Gilbralter Mausoleum Construction.

Dale was a family man, and a friend to all. He enjoyed spending time playing cards, cruising the lake on his pontoon, fishing, a quick trip to the casino and gardening.  Dale was the best dad, father-in law, grandpa, husband, and brother – patient, selfless, gentle, hardworking, and loving. Always willing to help and show up for anyone, anywhere. After Glinda’s passing, he continued to be the “rock” of his family and cherished every moment he had with them.

Surviving Dale are his two children, Brent (Jacinta) Langley of West Lafayette; Kayla (Adam) Heise of Logansport; six grandchildren; Matisyn (Rashawn) Sandford-Brown; Karli Langley; Jenna Langley; Hudson Langley; Hadlie Heise and Luke Heise; great granddaughter, Mila Sandford-Brown; three brothers, Leroy Langley; Jim (Deb Preston) Langley; Mike (Diane) Langley all of Logansport; sister, Carol “Annie” (Allen) Engle of Peru; mother in law, Mary Powell; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Gary; and a sister Jeneen Walker.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Nathan Allen officiating.

A private entombment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport with Pastor Jim Zimmerman .

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022, also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
