Evelyn S. Peters, 88, of Kewanna passed away at 9:40 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born on October 2, 1933 in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Gray) Brown.
She was a 1951 Kewanna High School graduate.
On November 4, 1951 she married Elmer “Sony” Peters. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1993.
Evelyn worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank in Kewanna for over 40 years.
She was a member of Kewanna United Methodist Church and former board member and treasurer of Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and taking care of her flowers. She will be remembered as a caring and loving person.
Survivors include her sister, Vivian Hathaway of Winona Lake, 13 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sister, Jeanine McKinzie and brothers, Frederick Brown and Jerry Brown.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna with Pastor Jodi Kosary officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
