Evelyn Sue Engel, 88, of Kokomo, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo.
Born on July 4, 1934, in Royal Center, Indiana, Evelyn is the daughter of the late Walter M. and Daisy Lucille (Leazenby) Browning. On February 14, 1969, in Logansport, she married Donovan R. Engel who preceded in death on February 16, 2012.
Evelyn worked for White Rodger’s from 1976 to 1993. She had also worked in the Dietary Department at Logansport Memorial Hospital. Evelyn was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a son, Rodney R. (Heidi) Engel of Kokomo; daughter, Cynthia Powell of Enterprise, AL; two stepdaughters, Donna Lee Marohl of Monticello; Debra E. (Don) Long of Peru; five grandchildren; several step grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Delores Anne Burk and two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Main Street United Methodist Church in Logansport.
