Randal J. “Randy” Klein

Randal J. “Randy” Klein, age 68, Logansport, died at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, at WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born Wednesday, September 30, 1953, in Logansport, he was the son of William J. “Joe” and Joan E. Zieg Klein.

Randy attended St. Vincent de Paul elementary school and was a 1971 graduate of Logansport High School. He earned bachelor’s degree in 1975 and master’s degree in 1979, both from Ball State University.

A life-long professional in the field of elementary education, Randy began his teaching career in the White County elementary schools for six years. After a year of sabbatical, he then taught in Caracus, Venezuela, and ended his career at St. Mary’s International School in Tokyo, Japan, where he taught for twenty six years. He was a Boy Scout leader and member of the Tokyo International Singers.

Randy was a former member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello and currently of All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Monticello.

Surviving are his siblings, Judy (Mike) Buttice, Logansport, Richard “Rick” Klein, Logansport, Gary (Darla) Klein, Acworth, Georgia. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Wendy Zeider, Kory Zeider, Kim Walton (E.J.), Mark Klein (Nicole), Chris Klein, Casey Klein, Cathy Nibarger (Jerry); several great nieces and great nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 12 Noon on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at All Saints Catholic Church. Father Gustavo Lopez of All Saints Catholic Church and Father John Szamreta, a long-time friend of Randy’s, will concelebrate the Mass.

Visitation will be at All Saints Parish Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, prior to Mass.

Burial will be in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Randy’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
