Sharon L. (Anderson) Havemann

Last Updated on September 7, 2022 by Gundrum Funeral Home

Sharon L. Havemann, 72, of Kokomo, passed away Tuesday August 30, 2022 in her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born July 21, 1950 in Houston, TX, Sharon is daughter to the late Tellie Guy and Barbara (Fisher) Anderson.

Sherry was a fierce redhead who loved Jesus, family, friends and her country. She was always ready to debate religion or politics. In her daily life, she loved her morning coffee and sipping a cool one with her closest loved ones in the evening. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, watching movies and doing puzzles. She was never without a dog or two…or three. Her cooking was sought after and her family hopes they are up to the challenge to continue the traditional dishes she was famous for…who gets the Thanksgiving dressing?

Those who knew her, even for a short time or in passing, will remember her as a generous, kind woman. She was a stranger to no one and didn’t hesitate to talk to anyone. Her passing was sudden and her absence will be felt deeply by many.

Surviving her is a son Omar (Brandy) Akshar of Kokomo; three daughters ,Amber Akshar of Texas; Mikeala (Anthony Van Dyke) Havemann; Trisha Zatopek all of Texas; six grandchildren, Dylan (Tori) Akshar; Ghanem (Iris) Akshar; Andrew (Lucero) Akshar; Sydney (Blake) Brown; Syenna Powell; Shaelyn Powell; two great grandchildren, Jace Akshar and Milton Akshar; sister, Savanna Anderson of Texas.

She is also survived by many family from marriage, the Akshars, whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by a son Adam Akshar; and a sister, Linda Anderson.

There will be no services.
