Sharon S. Barrett, age 76, Logansport, passed away at 1:51 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2022, at Chase Center.

Born December 29, 1945, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Earl Luther and Evelyn Mae Behymer Leazenby.

On October 19, 1963, at St. Bridget’s Church in Logansport, she was married to John Barrett, who survives. They had been married nearly fifty-nine years.

Sharon most of all loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed music, reading, cooking and had a smile that would “light up a room”. She was a 1963 graduate of Logansport High School. She later earned an associate degree at Ivy Tech.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her beloved children, Cathy Barrett Bryan, Logansport, Mike (Barb) Barrett, Westfield, Steve (Michelle) Barrett, Warsaw and Julie Barrett Johnson, Indianapolis.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Ashley Bryan (fiancé, Eric Groganz), Brianna Barrett Cover (Kyle), Nathan Bryan (Isabelle), Megan Barrett, Alex Barrett (Brenna) and Maxwell Johnson; five great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Fern Homburg and brother, Earl Leazenby.

A private funeral for the family was held at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Father Adam Mauman officiating.

Full interment was in Shideler Cemetery, Cass County.
