“Alyc” — Phoenix Ashton Henderson-Vigil

Phoenix Ashton Henderson-Vigil, formerly, Alyc Scripter, age 25, Logansport, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

He was born in Logansport on Wednesday, May 14, 1997.

Phoenix enjoyed his family and being around people. He loved karaoke and volunteering at the Emmaus Thrift Store. He had attended Pioneer Jr. Sr. High School.

Survivors include parents, Angel Scripter and Scott Hunter (Nicole); sisters, Audra (John) Gourley, Alexis Hunter, Brittani Riley, Korin Rinaldo, Taheena (Patrick) Smeenk and Tamisha Tousey; brothers, Austin Sammons, Ayron Woolever Hunter, Michael Hunter, Levi (Jordyn) Hunter, Shakawa (Jordan) Tousey and Ethan Hunter.

Also, grandparents, Ed Feltis (Kandy) Shawna Scripter and Bill & Sue Hunter; many aunts and uncles; and nieces and nephews, Lyla, Reed, Addilynn, Laci, Kendall, Abby, Elijah, Cooper, Remi, Willow, Aspen, Kadien, Zaley, Brandon and Bentley.

Phoenix was preceded in death by brother, Sonnonaka Tousey; grandparents, Nana Linda Feltis and Papal John Scripter; and aunt, Tina Bandelier.

Many have been blessed with the life of Alyc Scripter, who later changed his name to Phoenix Ashton Henderson-Vigil to commemorate his adoption by Shaun and Erik Henderson-Vigil as well as signifying what he referred to as “a Phoenix rising from the ashes”.   

Phoenix was embraced by his adopted parents along with siblings, Shad, Tyler, Lily, Ayden, Santiago, Mia, Zander, and Luis Henderson for his flair for life.  Phoenix’s smile was contagious and his love of singing with his father, Erik and appreciation of dance brought joy to many.  Phoenix, you will be loved forever.

A Celebration of the Life of “Alyc” (Phoenix Ashton Henderson-Vigil) will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27th, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Friends and family will gather at the funeral home to share memories and their love for Alyc.
