Donald Wayne Hatton, 82, Logansport, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Born March 11, 1940, in Lee County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Rudell and Ruby (Johnson) Hatton.

Don was a 1958 graduate of Royal Center High School.

On October 22, 1958, in Logansport, he married the love of his life, Beverly (Dodt) Hatton, who survives.

Don was retired from New Idea Plastics, a custom plastic molding company he founded. He had a very strong work ethic and was a great provider – an exemplary role model for all who knew him. Don loved farming, and he was passionate about caring for his livestock, the land, and all wildlife. One of his favorite past times was working on machinery in his barn. He took great comfort in riding his John Deere gator around the hillsides on his farm. He also leaves behind many wonderful memories of adventures with his wife and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Beverly, of 64 years, are two daughters, Andrea (Jim) Perrone, and Kris Reynolds, all of Logansport; two grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) Perrone and Caitlin Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Macen and Case Perrone; and one nephew, James Hatton, of Logansport.

He was preceded in death by three brothers – Ronald, Leo, and Leon.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, October 30, in the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel. Jeremy Jones officiated at the service. Don was laid to rest in Mount Hope following the service.

Arrangements were entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel. You may share memories and words of comfort on Don’s Tribute Wall at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com.
