Mark A. Layer, 56, of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at home.
Born on January 10, 1966 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Ernest and Joyce (Swank) Layer.
He was a Pioneer High School graduate.
Mark worked in the family business for many years at the Royal Center Locker Plant.
He enjoyed watching Nascar and the Indianapolis Colts, camping and most of all taking care of his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Layer of Royal Center, children, Kenny Layer of Logansport, Chris Layer of Logansport, Sarah Layer of Logansport and Jessica LeMaster of Logansport, brothers, Steve Layer (Sheryl) of Logansport and Gary Layer (Patty) of Ohio, sister in law, Janette Hines (Scott) of Royal Center and brother in law, Jerry Harlin (Jynell) of Logansport and granddaughters, Sydney and Savannah LeMaster of Royal Center.
Mark is also preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Layer.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center. Pastor Tim Minnick will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
