Last Updated on November 28, 2022 by Murray-Weaver Funeral Home

Pat Morrow, 90, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at Primrose Retirement Community in Kokomo.

Born on Oct. 7, 1932, in Calloway County, Mo., Patsy Ruth Cepicky was the oldest daughter of Charles William and Mildred Sweedy Cepicky. Her father installed telephone lines around the Midwest while her mother worked the switchboards, so Pat moved frequently as a child. She attended the University of Iowa, where she met fellow student Kenneth L. Morrow. They began a 42-year marriage on Dec. 7, 1952, and raised three daughters.

The family lived in Washington, Illinois and Tennessee before moving to Muncie, Ind., where Pat worked at Monroe Calculator Company and Ball State University. After 27 years in Muncie, she and her husband retired to Hot Springs Village, Ark., where she lived for 26 years. She was active in her church, card clubs and other community groups. In 2018, she moved to Kokomo to be near her family.

She is survived by daughters Marsha Riggs (Thomas) of Galveston, Ind., and Rae Goldsmith (Gregory) of West Lafayette, Ind.; a grandson, Jesse Goldsmith (Mary Ardery) of West Lafayette; and a great-grandchild arriving in the spring. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Morrow, and a sister, Betty Jewett.

No funeral or memorial service is planned at her request. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Pat’s family is grateful to the staff members of Primrose Retirement Community for their support and care.

Arrangements were entrusted to Murray-Weaver Funeral Home.
