Beverly J. (Horney) Miller

Beverly J. Miller, 87, of Galveston, passed away at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Independence Village Assisted Living Center in Fishers.  She was born October 2, 1935, in Logansport to Howard L. and Ella G. (Rollings) Horney.   She married Donald E. Miller on May 24, 1968, in Logansport.  He preceded her in death on December 25, 2001.

Beverly graduated from Logansport High School in 1953.  She became a medical technician for St. Joseph Hospital and retired in 1996 with 33 years’ service.  She enjoyed crochet and trips out of town to visit her family.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Kokomo for many years.

Surviving family include her children, Bryan K. (Jana) Miller of Kokomo; Becky (Bryan) Ewing of Greentown; Dan J. Miller and fiancée Lisa Landes, of Galveston; Aaron M. (Angie) Miller of Anderson; and daughter in law, Shelly Miller of Suffolk, VA.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one brother, James Horney of New Jersey.   She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, daughter Jody Lynn Ewing, son, Chris Miller, granddaughter, Meghann Ewing and sisters, Carolyn Beimer and Ruth Ann Horney.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Sean Cooper officiating.   Burial will follow in Galveston Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 Wednesday at the funeral home. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
