Deanna Marie Helton

Last Updated on December 21, 2022 by Fisher Funeral Chapel

Deanna Marie Helton, 61, passed away early Sunday morning, December 18, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Logansport. After receiving a recent diagnosis of an aggressive form of lung cancer, her family had planned for a celebration of life gathering while she was still with us – scheduled for Dec. 11th – just last week. Deanna wanted to greet family and friends and share memories before she died – and to let everyone know how much she loved them. But the rapid progression of this cruel disease left her too weak, and the gathering was cancelled.

Born January 1, 1961, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Chester William and Donna May (Thomas) Berry.

On October 23, 1982, in Logansport, she was married to Larry Joe Helton who preceded in death February 10, 2015.

Deanna was a homemaker and caregiver. She cherished her role as a wife and mother and loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Nick) Savini, Logansport; her son, Mason (Jordan) Helton, Logansport; three grandchildren, Kate Miller, Tenley Helton and Taylor Helton; three step-grandchildren, DaCotah Landis, Levi Landis, and Lily Savini; her brothers, Donald (Vickie) Berry and David Berry, Sr.; her sisters, Debra Vanata and Dena Noble; her half-brothers, Robin Berry and Chester Berry; her half-sister, Samantha (Jeff) Jones. and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Berry, and her sister, Darlene Hinkle.

In keeping with Deanna’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest in Spring Creek Christian Cemetery beside her beloved husband, Joe, who she has missed so very much these past seven years. We rejoice at the thought of their glad reunion and can only imagine what Christmas in Heaven is like.

Arrangements were entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel.
