Joan C. (Tocco) Hipsher

Joan C. Hipsher, 87, of Logansport, passed into the hands of Jesus on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on October 16, 1935, in Logansport, Joan is the daughter of the late Frank and Sylvia (Gaby) Tocco.  On March 3, 1951, in Logansport, Joan married William H. Hipsher Jr. who preceded in death on February 25, 2021.

Joan, along with her husband Bill, owned and operated Hipshers Window and Floor Cleaning Service for over 40 years.  She was a member of the Royal Center Order of the Eastern Star #375, past Worthy Matron of Fidelity Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and past Grand Martha and past member of Niddee Shrine Guild. She was also a 50 year member of V.F.W. Post #3790 Auxiliary.

Surviving Joan is a daughter, Karen (Larry McCarter) Hipsher of Logansport; four sons, Shawn (Dawn Gainey) Hipsher of Logansport; William H. (Tina) Hipsher III of Peru; Christopher (Debra) Hipsher of Peru; Brian (Terri) Hipsher of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three sisters, Pat Tocco of Logansport; Judy Brown of Fortville, IN; Sandy (Jim) Hipsher of Roachdale, IN; 22 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Thomas, Francis, and Gerald Tocco; 3 sisters, Marlene Reinholt, Creda Day and Mary Musgrave; and two great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Blanton officiating. A private burial will take place at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

An Eastern Star Service will be held just prior to funeral services on Thursday.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday, also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
