Thomas E. Williams, 90, of Galveston, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born September 20, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Russell and Helen (Arion) Williams. He married Shirley Roberts on January 3, 1960, in Monticello. Shirley preceded him in death on September 29, 2016.
Tom retired from Chrysler as a crib attendant in 1987 with many years’ service. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed playing bingo and collecting antique treasures. He enjoyed time spent at his homes in Michigan and Florida with his family.
Surviving family include his son, Darrell Williams of Galveston and his granddaughter, Billie Jo Williams of Logansport. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Hayden Mau, Qiana Crowder and Romello Crowder. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley, two sons, Craig and Mark Williams, one granddaughter, Samantha Collins and one sister, Phyllis Bernt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Bill Collins officiating. He will be laid to rest, next to his wife Shirley at Rock Creek Cemetery in Cass County. A time of visitation will take place one hour before service time on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
