Travis Jay Savini

Travis Jay Savini, age 48, of Logansport, passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon, the result of a tragic vehicular accident on US Highway 35 just north of Davis Road in Howard County.

Travis was born November 24, 1974, in Logansport, and was the son of Steven and Theresa Hettinger Savini. Travis’ father and his wife, Beth, survive, residing in Logansport. His mother, Theresa, has passed away.

Travis attended Logansport Hbigh School and was currently employed at Myers Spring Company.

He was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and had a huge collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia. Those who attend his visitation at the funeral home will get to see his Harley and a portion of his Coke collection.  

A guy with a lot of energy, he always had a project of fixing cars, repairing anything and making money wheeling and dealing. He never watched television because he had better things to do. Travis especially enjoyed hanging out with his friends.

Surviving are his daughter, Whitney Savini, and her mother, Amy Savini, both of Peru; his beloved fiancé, Christina De La Cruz, and their daughter, Iyana De La Cruz. 

Also surviving are a brother, Brandon Savini, Logansport; aunts and uncles, Marcina and Jerry Coble, Terry Savini, Ron Savini, Tom Hettinger, Brian and Jessica Hettinger and Bob and Ruth Hettinger; a large number of cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents and two aunts.

Friends may greet Travis’ family from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15th, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Kelly Spencer will officiate at a Celebration of Travis’ Life at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, also at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The final disposition will be cremation.

Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
