Nancy Maughmer, 78, Royal Center, Indiana passed away at 11:05 p.m., January 2023 at her home.
Born November 28, 1944 and Royal Center, she was the daughter of the late Mary Kessler and Floyd Joseph/Liz Joseph.
On January 4 1980 she married Tom Maughmer. Together they raised their kids Missy Clark Royal Center and Stacey/Cameron Richter of Carmel.
Nancy spent most of her life in the workforce loving being around people and staying busy. Most of her life she worked at Modine and Logansport Surgical Associates with a few hobby jobs in between.
Anyone that knew her well understood her love of gabbing. She could spend hours on the phone with her many friends while drinking her Pepsi.
She was a huge animal lover bringing home several strays over her lifetime never discriminating between dogs and cats.
Her life was finally complete with the addition of her grandkids Will and Alex of Carmel. As soon as Will could pick up the phone he was calling his grandparents to spend the weekend with them Will was positive she would be a wealthy person if she would open a fried chicken restaurant.
After retirement the one thing she loved to do was travel with her daughter. She was always up for hopping in a car, grabbing a Coke and traveling wherever she could go.
She loved holidays! Cooking for her family made her very happy and listening to Jim Nabors during the Indy 500 made her day until Mario Andretti crashed. Now like Jim would sing, she is going back home only this time it is to an even better place.

Graveside Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2023 at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
