Addyline Joyce Green

Last Updated on February 22, 2023 by Fisher Funeral Chapel

Addyline Joyce Green, of Logansport, just 5 months, 24 days old, was at home Saturday morning, February 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, when she closed her eyes to the struggles of this world. And to think, in that twinkling of an eye, the first thing Addy saw when her little eyes opened was the face of Jesus – gives her family great comfort and peace.

Born August 25, 2022, at Logansport Memorial Hospital, she was the beloved daughter of Tehya LeeAnn Green.

Soon, after she was born, Addy was whisked away to the Riley Hospital for Children where she received an abundance of loving care. In just 177 days of life, Addy was able to charm her way into the hearts of so many people. She was the best patient, except for pulling off her oxygen, and she recovered from surgery with the courage of a champion. And what a fighter she was, until the very end.

Her favorite way to comfort herself was sucking on her little wrist – even her ultrasound pictures showed her sucking her wrist, so much so it formed a birthmark. Addy was full of mischief and could be quite the “sassy pants.”  She could tell you off in baby talk and let you know she was the boss. Her little legs would kick with excitement, and she would squeal when her Mommy walked into the room. Simply put, Addy was able to put a lifetime of joy into an instant.

Surviving with her mother, Tehya, are her maternal grandparents, Aaron and Jeannette Green; her paternal grandparents, Mark and Nicole Klein; three uncles, Aaron (Alexa) Rivers, Liam Klein, and Layne Klein; cousins, Myla and Bryn Rivers; great-grandparents, Brenda Banter, and Angela and Earl Ingmire; and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Addy was greeted in Heaven by great-grandfathers, Danny “Joe” Banter and Jim Spencer, and great-great-grandparents, Glen Rivers, and Walter and Pearl Taylor.

Friends and family will gather from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday, February 23 in Fisher Funeral Chapel for the visitation.

The funeral service celebrating Addy’s life will immediately follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral chapel with family friend Kelly Spencer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children Foundation, Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel, or a link is available at fisherfuneralchapel.com.
