Karen S. (Felker) Brugh

Karen S. Brugh, 82, of Pittsville, Wisconsin formerly of Logansport passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI.

Born on March 13, 1941, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Wade) Felker.

She graduated from Logansport High School in 1959.

On January 3, 1960, she married Michael G. Brugh.  He preceded her in death on March 5, 2003.

Karen had many working experiences.  Such as dairy farmer, team truck driver, meat packing plant as well as a former Matron at the Cass County Jail.  She tackled all her jobs with her usual spunk and humor. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Her greatest joy was attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s various functions. She was an avid race car fan and she loved animals.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt, WI.

Survivors include her children, Lori Abel (Paul) of Arpin, WI, Kelly Kurtzweil (Chad) of Vesper, WI and John Brugh (Sally) of Pittsville, WI, her grandchildren Chris (Tonya) Abel, Hewitt, WI, Josh (Michelle) Abel, Pittsville, WI, Caleb (Nadia) O’Reilly, Brooklyn Center, MN, Casey (Allie) O’Reilly, San Deigo, CA, Ashley (Travis) Brugh, Blenker, WI and Brittany Brugh, Marshfield, WI.  Sisters include, Nancy Sabatini of Logansport, IN, Jane Felker, Logansport, IN and Rosie (Leroy) Cadwallader, Logansport, IN.   Karen was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister in laws and brother in laws.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Mike and a daughter Theresa. Her parents, Ernest and Gertrude, and her brother William.   

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport with her grandchildren who will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery.
