Audrey Ray, 82 of Logansport, passed away Saturday, April 29, in the emergency room at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born October 1, 1940, in Cass County, she was the 6th of 10 children born to the late Jacob Eugene and Dorothy Louise (Helvie) Lantz

Audrey was an excellent seamstress and had worked at the H.W. Gossard for twenty years. She was retired from Chase Center where she was a dietician for twenty years.

Out of the sadness of her unexpected death, comes a gift of life that Audrey gave to impact the lives of over 75 people.  Audrey was a tissue donor.  Her gift will help burn victims and diabetic patients heal.  

She is survived by her grandson, David Brigance, her sister, Louanna Harper, and her brother, Merril Lantz, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Brigance; and seven siblings, Donna Louise Young, Phyllis Faye Merritt, Cheryl Jean Gibbs, Allen Leon Lantz, Delmar Lee Lantz, Herbert Eugene Lantz, Roy Frances Lantz.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Audrey Ray will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 5 in the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the cemetery chapel.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
