Ruth L. Quinn, 91, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at McKinney Place in Logansport.
Born on December 24, 1931, in Young America, Indiana, Ruth is the daughter of the late Russel and Inez (Cress) Wertz. On February 9, 1951, in Kokomo, Indiana, she married Donald R. Quinn who preceded in death on August 30, 2007.
Ruth was a member of the Anoka United Methodist Church, member and past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #60, life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Logansport Niddee Shrine Guild, Hillbilly Hoosier Clan No. 14 Outhouse No. 3, Bridge City Squares of Logansport and a life member of the Indiana Dancer’s Association.
Surviving Ruth are two daughters, Cynde (Mark) Foust of Logansport; Suzie (Rob) Burkhart of Alexandra, IN; son, Tim Quinn of Lake Cicott; five grandchildren, Russel Foust, James (Tammy) Foust, Benjamin (Heather) Quinn, Donovan (Ashley) Burkhart, Maggie Quinn; five great grandchildren, Katelynn Foust, Kylee Foust, Axel Burkhart, Allen Burkhart and Huckston Quinn.
Ruth was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thomas and Rev. Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, also in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary service will be held at 6:45 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
