Sarah J. Warner, age 94, Logansport, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born August 18, 1928, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Owen W. and Catherine Baumann Kissinger.
On March 13, 1948, in Logansport, she married Jack J. Warner, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1997.
Sarah attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Logansport, graduating in 1942. She was a 1946 graduate of Logansport High School.
A member of All Saints Catholic Church, Sarah had been a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the former Our Lady of the Snows study club and Elderberries. She had also belonged to the VFW Auxiliary and the Logansport Elkettes.
After graduation from high school, Sarah worked at Flanagan Ace Hardware where she met Jack, her future husband. She had also been secretary at the Logansport YWCA. When she and Jack resided in Fort Wayne, she had been employed at Loos Insurance Company.
Surviving are her twin daughters, Janet (Ron) Holcomb, Rochester and Jane Lantz, Logansport; grandchildren, Emily (Nathan) Graham, Ian (Carissa) Lantz, Becky (Kenny) Redman; great grandchildren, Gabrielle “Gabby” Lantz, Elijah Lantz, Lucas Graham, Lauren Graham, Lydia Redman; one great-great grandson, Forrest; a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her siblings, Mary Key, Owen “Bud” Kissinger, Virginia Dilling, Jack Kissinger and Joe Kissinger.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Fr. Kyle Neterer officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
