Elijaah Parish, 20, of Walton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the emergency room at Logansport Memorial Hospital after collapsing during a weight-lifting work-out session.

He was born June 18, 2003, in Lafayette, Indiana.

A 2021 graduate of Lewis Cass High School, Elijaah was active on the Kings football team.

Elijaah was employed as a contract worker with the Indiana Department of Corrections as a driver with Aramark, transporting meals daily from Miami County to the inmates at the Northcentral Juvenile Correction facility in Logansport. He was also a First Responder.

An avid sports enthusiast, Elijaah enjoyed working out and spending time with his friends. He also loved video games and music.

He is survived by his mother, Melissa Stepp; his fathers, Bob Mullett and Franklin Brewer; his siblings, Kayla Mullett, Paige Sulfridge, Aaron Mullett, and Abbi Mullet-Stepp; his grandparents, Mamaw Meow and Pappy Eddie, Jane Gerlach and Ralph Monroe; and many, many friends.

Elijaah was preceded in death by his father, Marcus Parish; and grandparents, Anna Monroe, Donald Stepp, Sharon Parish, and Bill Gerlach.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. Friday, July 21 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service celebrating Elijaah’s life will follow at 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with Pastor Bill Collins officiating.

Following the service, friends and family are invited to the Deer Creek Community Center, 4837 IN 29, Camden, IN 46917.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cass Scholarship Fund through the Cass County Community Foundation.
