Tamra D. (Harp) Hunter

Tamra D. Hunter, 63, of Peru, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 6:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.   She was born October 20, 1959, in Marion County, Indiana to Damon L. and Freda C. (Runsick) Harp.   She married Marcus Hunter on October 26, 1988, and he survives.

Tamra enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, dancing and singing.  Her favorite time of the year was Christmas.  She absolutely loved Christmas.    She is also a former member of First General Baptist Church in Kokomo.

Surviving family include her husband Marcus Hunter; her children, Kory (Catrina) Hunter of Kokomo, and Maranda (Anthony)  Berry of Kokomo.  She is also survived by four grandsons, Bricyn, Rylan, Triton and Corbin Berry all of Kokomo and her mother Freda Harp and siblings, Tim (Monica) Harp, Tony Harp, Shawn (Vanessa) Harp and Sabrina Harp and her dog Kiki.

She is preceded in death by her father and beloved dog, Rowdy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.  A memorial service will follow visitation at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Brad Swain officiating.
