Thomas P. “Tom” Sadler

Thomas P. “Tom” Sadler, 70, of Peru, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2023, in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, with his family by his side, following recent battle with a rare form of thyroid cancer.

Born March 17, 1953, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Grody) Sadler.

On December 1, 1990, in Brownsville, Texas, he was married to Jeri (Boatright) Sadler, who survives.

A 1971 graduate of Logansport High School, Tom earned his college degree from the University of Louisville. He owned and operated Logan Engineering. His battle with multiple sclerosis began in 1999 and Tom retired in 2002.

Tom was a Past Master of Logansport’s Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33. In his younger years, he was active in the Logansport Jaycees. He enjoyed playing pool and golf. Tom was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching sports. Tom and Jeri enjoyed wintering in Texas.

Surviving with his wife, Jeri, is daughter, Christina Sadler, daughter, Rachel Bragg, son, Jamie Townsend, and grandchildren, Gabriel VandenBerg, Tristan Sadler, Katelyn, Megan and Michael Bragg, and Chelsy, Johnny, Katie, and Luke Townsend.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosetta Sadler, Donna Fields and Beverly Hines.

Graveside services will be held at the Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Indiana.
