John Robert Fry, 77, Logansport, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at his home.
Born August 15, 1946, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Melvin and Mary (Harmon) Fry.
He was married to Laurie Bailey Fry, who preceded him in death in 2006.
A veteran of the US Army, John served during the Vietnam War era. He attended college after returning stateside.
John worked as a metal scrapper. Putting in long hours, he took great pride in making good deals.
He always enjoyed a good game of pool. John never knew a stranger and made friends easily. His best times were spent among his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Glen Fry, Shawn Fry, Joshua Fry, and Angela Buzzell; one brother, Ronnie Fry; three grandchildren, Adrianna Marie Fry, Logan Rannoch Fry, and Michael Shawn Fry; and his great-grandchild, Sterling Murphy.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service celebrating John’s life will be follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
Burial, with full military honors will be accorded to John by the US Army Honor Guard and the
Cass County Honor Guard, at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
