Myra L. Leffert, age 77, Logansport, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Matt Foster of Life Gate Church officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.

Born January 15, 1946, in Coldwater, Michigan, she was the daughter of Oscar Levi and Hilda Florene Jenkins Williams. In 1956, both of her parents and her young brother, Dale, were tragically killed in an automobile accident. Myra was then raised by her aunt and uncle, Robert and Shirley Vice.

She was married August 28, 1966, in Coldwater, Michigan, to Dan Leffert, who survives.

Also surviving are her daughters, Lisa (Wendell) Blair, Veronica (Chuck) Trapp, Allison Leffert, all of Logansport; son, Kyle (Katie) Leffert, both of Logansport; sister-in-law, Dee Leffert, Logansport.

Also surviving are grandchildren, James Renaud (wife, Amanda), Hilary Byers (husband, Levi), Cody Trapp, Ryan Leffert (fiancé, Kaylee Butcher), Emma Leffert; great grandchildren, Ava Renaud, Graham Byers, Tatum Byers; brothers, Terry Vice (companion, Kay), and David Vice.

Myra was preceded in death by a another brother, Roger Williams.

For many years and until just recently, she “babysat” and watched  children in her own home, caring for them as her own.

During her lifetime she had many dogs, “too many to mention”.

Myra was a member of Life Gate Church.

The family would like to thank Dee Leffert for many days and hours of companionship for Myra. She loved the hours they spent listening to “oldies”, especially those sung by Bobby Vinton.

The family also wishes to offer special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Myra’s caregivers, Dr. Tonya Brown, Kayla Clem, and Baylie Miles.

Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or Life Gate Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
