Beverly Mamie Hess

Beverly Mamie Hess, age 97, of Logansport, passed away Saturday October 14, 2023, in Millers Merry Manor. 

Born November 22, 1925, in Logansport to the late Glay and Mamie (Davis) Caldwell.  On June 16, 1956, in Logansport she married Donald O. Hess who preceded in death on February 4, 1998.

Beverly served as secretary of Lincoln Jr. High School where she retired after 20 years of service. She had previously served as secretary for the Logansport Mayor’s office and Logansport Chamber of Commerce. She was a lifelong member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Milt (Chris) Hess, Logansport; Dr. Daniel J. (Cindy) Harmon, Sheridan, IN; four grandchildren, Gary (Sheri) Harmon, Clermont, FL; Heather (Steve) Lowery, Palm Springs, CA; Hayley (Robert Moran) Hess, Indianapolis; Tanner (Callie) Hess, Nashville, TN; three nephews, Steve Bright, William Bright and David Caldwell; three nieces, Patty Van Hoogstraat, Kathy Elery and Patty Cunningham.

Beverly was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Harmon and one brother, Robert “Bobby” Caldwell.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM  on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Goodspeed officiating. A burial will follow in Mt. Hope cemetery of Logansport.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
