James William “Bill” Davis Jr., age 90, passed away at 8:20 pm Saturday October 28, 2023, in his residence.
Born March 7, 1933, in Cass County IN to the late James W. Davis Sr. and Anna L. (Wilson) Davis. On June 3, 1951, in Logansport, IN he married Lucille M. Timmons who preceded in death on June 8, 2008.
Bill retired as a truck driver for Exide Battery Corp. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed antique cars, flowers, working in his yard and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his companion, Ellie Geary, Camden. two sons, Mark (Melanie) Davis, Kokomo, IN; Brad (John Snider) Davis, Peru; seven grandchildren, Janelle Keele, Fishers, IN; Phillip Davis, Indianapolis; Cavan Davis, Kokomo; Billy (Emily) Davis, Kokomo; Andrew (Josh) Davis, Peru; Elizabeth Davis, Kokomo; Alex Davis, Kokomo; six great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lona Davis, Logansport.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Lynn Davis, two sisters and two brothers.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. A private burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at Deer Creek.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, also in the funeral home.
