Keith W. Conklin, 77 Logansport, passed away Thursday morning, October 27, 2023, in the Wabash Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness.
Born October 18, 1946, in Logansport, he was the son of Emmanuel “Frank” and Martha “Jane” (Fultz) Conklin.
On August 27, 1999, in Logansport, he was married to Karen (Turner) Conklin, who survives.
Keith was a 1963 graduate of Logansport High School. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy from 19655-1969. During the Vietnam War, Keith served as a 3rd Class AirDale with CVS 2nd Division USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63).
After returning home from the Navy, Keith began his career at Rockwell which transition to be Matthew-Warren. Over the years, he took great pride in making large springs for monster trucks, NASCAR, and military vehicles.
Keith loved music, especially Johnny Cash and other classic artists of the 60’s. He enjoyed collecting die-cast cars.
Surviving with his wife, Karen Conklin are his children, Brian Conklin, Ron Hiles, Jr., Ronda Ambrose, Kim Conklin, Susan (Mark) Baker, and Katrina (Glenn) Overman; his sister, Shirley Hackett; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Jean Jameson; son-in-law, Lee Ambrose; daughter-in-law, Sue Conklin; and brother-in-law, James Hackett,
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1st, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, the funeral service celebrating Keith’s life will begin at 1 p.m. with Dawn Fisher officiating.
Burial, with full military honors, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
