Kristi Jill Forshee, 72, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the emergency room at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville.

Born July 24, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Michael Charles Harkin and Evadne Idella (Kranz) Harkin Hyman.

On December 16, 1995, she was married to Anthony “Tony” Forshee. He preceded her in death November 8, 2002.

A 1969 graduate of Morton Senior High School in Hammond, Kristi went on to earn two Associate of Science degrees in 1989 – one in Marketing and one in Accounting.

Kristi was retired from the Logansport State Hospital where she had worked as a Qualified Medical Assistant for eleven years.

With her fun-loving personality and joyful soul, Kristi never allowed any of the adversities she faced define her. Having survived severe injuries in a 1972 car accident to her most recent battle with breast cancer, Kristi was an “over comer.” Her faith in the Lord kept her strong.

She was a longtime member of the former Wheatland Avenue Methodist Church. Kristi enjoyed staying fit by working out at the YMCA. She adored kittens and cats.

Surviving are her sister, Cheryl Jane Herrell, Marana, Arizona; sister-in-law, Debby Harkin, Noblesville, IN; two grandchildren, Zoie Jean and David Lee Justice; and her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by Son, Ronald Lee Justice, Jr.; brother, James “Jim” Harkin; stepfather, Donald Hyman; and brother-in-law, Ricky Herrell.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, in Fisher Funeral Chapel. 

Burial ,will follow in Walton I.O.O.F Cemetery.
