Michael S. Bell

Michael S. Bell, age 73, Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 17, 2023, in his residence in Indianapolis.

Born October 12, 1950, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Tyrus and Frances (Zauss) Bell.

Michael was a 1969 graduate of Logansport High School. He married Linda (McDaniel) Bell in 1971.

Mike had been employed in various Kmart stores, including Logansport. He was a dedicated employee with a career in retail management before retiring in 2013 and moving to be closer to family.

Michael dearly loved his family. He especially enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events and activities. He loved cooking and trying new restaurants. He also enjoyed attending Notre Dame women’s basketball games with relatives and cheering on the Notre Dame football team.

A believer in Jesus, Michael was a life-long Roman Catholic. He was a very generous person and loved to give thoughtful gifts.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Rebecca) Bell, Fishers; brother, Robert (Pat) Bell, South Bend; grandchildren, Hudson Bell, Selah Bell, and Samara Bell, all of Fishers; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya; brothers, Kenny Bell, Ty Bell, Jerry Bell, Francis Bell, Kaye Gray and Karen Chrisman.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 26th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 27th., at All Saints Catholic Church, Logansport, with Father Michael Block officiating. Visitation will also be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, prior to the funeral mass, in the Parish Hall at All Saints Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Summit Chapel Cemetery, near Bourbon, Indiana. The Graveside Committal Service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 27th, with Father Michael Block officiating.
