Rebecca S. “Becky” Leazenby, 59, of Logansport, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 4, 2023, in Aperion Care of Peru, following complications of a stroke she had suffered in June.
Born October 5, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Everett W. and Helen L. (Rittenberry) Leazenby.
A 1983 graduate of Logansport High School. Becky was a valuable crew member at McHale Performing Arts Center during her high school years. She continued her studies at Ball State University. In 1989, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education and had previously taught at Pioneer High School.
Becky worked as a press operator with Trelleborg for many years before the plant closed its Logansport facility.
She loved nothing more than tinkering around in her yard and caring for her garden. The fruits of her labor were the produce she canned for herself, her family and friends.
Becky is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Cliff Allen, and Barb and Doug Rohde; as well as her nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by two nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 9 in Ever-Rest Memorial Park’s mausoleum chapel where the funeral service celebrating Becky’s life will follow at 11 a.m.
Inurnment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
