Ronald Burkett, 67, Logansport, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a massive heart attack.

Born September 19, 1956, in Logansport, he was the son of Clifford C. and Dixie (Cottingham) Burkett.

Ron attended Logansport High School and served in the United States Marine Corps.

A mechanic, Ron was skilled with the natural ability to be a problem-solver and get things up and running. They say if you enjoy your job, you never work a day in your life…and Ron loved working on cars.

Surviving with his mother, Dixie Burket, are five children, Jason, Robert, Andrew, Macy and Haley Burkett; one brother, Kevin Burkett; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his father, Clifford, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford Arland Burkett and Mark Burkett.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in Fisher Funeral Chapel. A funeral service celebrating Ron’s life will take place at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Jeff Strite officiating.

Burial will follow at Ramer Cemetery, Walton.
