Susie was a graduate of Logansport High School and Indianapolis Business College and a member of Walton Christian Church. She worked at the age of thirteen at the family business, Southside Sundries. She also worked for switches, Area Five Agency on Aging, Walton Maramart, and then she retired from Small Parts after 36 years of employment. Susie also babysat in her home for many years. Her home was always open for family, friends, and especially for her children and grandchildren. Susie loved spending time at the lake when her children were younger, swimming, boating, and sitting by the fire at night. She loved her flowers, sitting on the porch, swinging, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Susie was always their biggest fan. Susie especially loved cooking for those she loved, and no one ever left her house hungry or without leftovers. Susie loved going to Florida every spring with friends and family. You could always find her at the edge of the ocean with a frozen drink in her hand. Susie loved everyone she encountered unconditionally and would do anything for someone in need. She left a legacy that will last for all that knew her.
