H. Dudley Greeson

H. Dudley Greeson, 82, of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 8:56 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Legacy at Waterford Place in Kokomo.  He was born September 19, 1941, in Kokomo to Harold O. and Gertrude Irene (McCarter) Greeson.   He married Judith (Harrell) on October 28, 1961, in Kokomo and she survives.  

Dudley retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo with over 37 ½ years of service.  He started in tool and die, and later worked in tool design and retired in the safety department.  There wasn’t anything Dudley couldn’t do, he loved tinkering around in his garage and could fix just about anything.  He enjoyed woodworking, photography, gardening, collecting things, and model railroading, especially the C&O, Norfolk Southern, and Chessie System railroads.  He was a member of Bennetts Switch Community Church, Gideon’s International, SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) and Volunteers for Youth organization.  He was also a substitute bus driver for Maconaquah School Corporation for many years after retirement.

Surviving family include his wife Judith Greeson of Kokomo; his daughters, Regina (Andrew) Jeffers of Ohio and Peggy (Aaron) Gross of Logansport.  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Darling, Kyle (Chaney) Jeffers, Jeremy Gross, Jessica Gross and fiancée Drew Engels, and Jenna Gross.   Surviving great grandchildren include Oliver and Adeline Darling, and Oakley and Ella Jeffers.  Dudley is also survived by one sister, Barbara (Larry) Ellison, niece, Katherine Patterson and nephew, Paul Ellison.   He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Bennetts Switch Community Church, 2261 IN 18, Kokomo, IN. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, January 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Norm Snyder officiating.  Dudley will be laid to rest in the Galveston Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Bennetts Switch Community Church, Alzheimer’s Research or Gideons International in Dudley’s memory.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.
