Thomas Edwin Miller, 89, of Plymouth, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver.

Born on December 20, 1934 in Royal Center, Indiana, he was the son of the late Edwin “Ted” Miller and Hazel (Shaw) Miller. Tom graduated from Grass Creek High School in 1953. On May 21, 1955 he married Dorothy Jean Hubeny, and they were married for 67 years. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2022.

Tom & Dorothy were dairy farmers in Fulton County, then bought a farm of their own and moved to Culver in 1967. He was employed by Reese Equipment and then Thermogas. He and Dorothy enjoyed participating in area tractor pulls and supported the local 4-H program.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Mae Miller (1945) and brothers, Fritz (1936), Walter”Bus”(1993), Gerald “Gene” (2014).

Survivors include his children, Ronald Miller(Nancy) of Culver, Larry Miller(Debra) of Plymouth, Debora Smoker(Greg) of Wanatah, and his sister, Judy DePoy(Kenneth) of Fulton. He is survived by seven grandchildren, Amanda Miller of Bremen, Jacob Smoker(Jill) of Wanatah, Cynthia Miller of Cleveland, Matthew Smoker (Jenni) of Wanatah, Joseph Smoker (Mandy) of DeMotte, Kalee Givens(Nathan) of Ft. Wayne, and Melissa McGouch(Jacob) of Battle Ground. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St. Kewanna, IN.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Private Graveside Services will be on Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
