William “Bill” M. Murray

William “Bill” M. Murray, 84, Logansport, went home to be with the Lord Monday evening, January 29, 2024, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born April 22, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Charles and Betty (Hall) Murray.

On January 17, 1986, in Logansport, he was married to Charlotte (Brewer) Murray. She preceded him in death December 20, 2015. He was married January 7, 2017, in Logansport to Sally R. (Looker) Murray, who survives.

Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam era.

He owned and operated T & L Stamping and was skilled as a machinist.

Bill was a member of the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene. He loved woodworking and enjoyed collecting antiques. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and took great pride in his yard. Riding his lawn mower was something he really enjoyed.

Surviving with his wife, Sally, are his three sons, Greg Murray, Mike (Meg) Murray and Kevin Murray, stepchildren, Shane Conrad, Dan (Vicky) Conrad, Kim (Tony) Fowler, Penny (Jeff) Smith, Shawny (Scott) Bortell, Lisa (Todd) Ervin, Theresa (Jim) Hudson, Tracey (David) Berry, and Wes (Donna) Hizer; one sister, Ruth (Kent) Cook, and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Frank Murray, Fern Murray, Jess Murray, and John Murray.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – noon on Friday, February 2 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

The funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will follow at noon with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.

Burial, with full military honors, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene.
