Bill W. Clinton, 72, of Walton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home.  He was born February 23, 1951, in Tipton, Indiana to Frank and Maudie (Rush) Clinton.  He married Teresa L. Rush on July 14, 1979, and she survives.

Bill was a beloved teacher at Lewis Cass for over 39 years.  He began his teaching career in 1974 at Lewis Cass and retired in 2013.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana State University and his master’s from I.U.  He later became a Purdue fan to support his children in their education endeavors.  He enjoyed mowing the yard, growing his garden, fishing, working on Coca-Cola puzzles and having breakfast with his buddies at McDonald’s in Logansport every morning.  He adored his family and looked for any opportunity to play with his grandchildren and devoted much of his time to each of them.  He was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving family include his wife Teresa of Walton; his children, Brice (Ali) Clinton of Carmel, IN; Kile A. (Kristen) Clinton of Converse, IN; Lauren (Kurt) Hohenberger, Leland, IL; and Morgan (Omar Gonzalez) Clinton of Galveston, IN.  Surviving grandchildren include, Kendall Clinton, Natalie, Sarah and Millie Hohenberger, Anderson and Isla Clinton, Maude, Ximena, Sebastian, and Gianna Gonzalez.  Bill is also survived by siblings, Linda Vollbrecht, Lane Clinton, Sue Meteer, Joanne Smith, Louise Swanson and Louis Clinton.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Clinton and special aunt, Wilda Rush.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Walton IOOF Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cass Scholarship fund in Bill’s memory.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. www.murrayweaverfuneralhome.com
