Ethel L. (Hewitt) Campbell

Ethel L. Campbell, age 88, Logansport, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Galveston.

Born June 14, 1935, in Winamac, she was the daughter of Chester and Luetta Reinholt Hewitt.

She was married November 25, 1954, in Logansport, to Charles O. Campbell, Jr., who preceded her in death August 7, 2011.

Ethel attended Logansport High School. She worked at RBM Manufacturing for several years and later was a homemaker. She also babysat many children and grandchildren.

Ethel enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, playing Bingo, and spending time with her dog, Missy. She loved her hummingbirds more than other birds and had her own way of attracting them.

Surviving are a daughter, Vickie (Jeff) McGuire, Galveston; sons, Charles R. “Chuck” (Tammy) Campbell and Michael (Jill) Campbell, all of Logansport; grandchildren, Chad (Amber) Campbell, Walton, Cory McGuire, Walton, Brad McGuire, Galveston, and Brandon Campbell, Logansport; several great grandchildren, nieces nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Jack Hallam, and sister-in-law, Becky Hewitt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Harold, Gerald, Dallas, and Jack; sister, Shirley Hallam and a granddaughter.
