John Isaac Cook, 76, of Logansport, passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Born on December 11, 1947, in Logansport, John is the son of the late Jesse Harrison and Dorothy (Riggle) Cook.  John had retired from Wilson Foods and then went on to work for Trelleborg and was a former Cass County Corrections Officer.

John enjoyed working on lawnmowers and was an Army Veteran

Surviving John, are two daughters, Kimberly (Al) Busard of Logansport, IN, Brandi Cook of Amboy, IN; brother, Jesse William Cook of TN; sister, Kathleen “Susan” Norris of TX; four grandchildren, John E. (Loralee) Spencer, Rodney “Jordan” Busard; K-lee Davenport, Rian Davenport; 7-great grandchildren, Paislee Spencer, Colson Spencer, Jaxin Magers, Kaesin Magers, Hunter Davenport, Rilee Davenport, Carsin Davenport.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Vera L. Warfield, and three brothers, David Cook, Daniel Cook, and Robert Cook.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Raderstorf officiating. A burial, with full military rites by the Cass County Honor Guard, will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service of Friday in the funeral home.
