Kenneth “Kenny” Graves, 80, of Kempton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer.  Kenny was born January 21, 1944, to Lawrence E. and Bertha I. (Robinson) Graves in Russiaville.  He married Mary Alice Webster on July 10, 1965, and she survives.

Kenny was a 1962 graduate of Prairie High School.  He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Delco Electronics with 35 years’ service.  He served as Prairie Township Trustee in Tipton County for several years and worked for Ray-Wel motors as a parts manager in his younger years.  After retirement he worked for Jeff Stout at Stout and Son funeral home in Russiaville.   Kenny loved his church and served as a greeter, head usher and board member for First Church of the Nazarene, now One Church in Kokomo for over 40 years.  A mission trip to Ecuador was a highlight for him.  Kenny was also involved with Tipton County 4H for many years with his children showing hogs and cattle.

Surviving family include his wife Mary Alice of Kempton, his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Matt Williams of Kokomo, his son Jason Graves of Tipton, his grandchildren, Austin LaFollette, Grace Williams, Madison Williams, Kady Graves and Garrett Graves.  He is also survived by one brother Ron and wife Betty Graves of Punta Gorda, FL; and brother-in-law, Alan Adler of Kokomo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Kenny is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Adler.

A time of visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow visitation at 4:00 p.m. at One Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington Street with Pastor Tim Gates officiating.   Private burial will be held at Liberty Cemetery in Tipton County.

Memorial contributions may be given to Missions at One Church of the Nazarene in Kenny’s memory.  Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.
