Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February.
We put together a list of the closures we’ve seen reported in various locations:
TRASH PICKUP: Monday, February 19 is Presidents Day, but trash pickup is on schedule according to the Republic Services schedule for the City of Logansport. The next holiday that will affect Republic Services’ Logansport trash pickup schedule is Memorial Day (May 29). See our list of trash and recycling info here.
RECYCLING: The Cass County Solid Waste (Recycling District) Warehouse will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
BANKS: Most banks will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
SCHOOLS
Caston, Pioneer, Lewis Cass and Logansport Schools will not be in session on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024

GOVERNMENT OFFICES:
The following offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 in observance of Presidents’ Day:
Cass County Government Building
Eel Township Trustee’s Office
Galveston Town Hall
MAIL DELIVERY: The Postal Service will observe Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 19, a federal holiday. Post Offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery. Customers needing postal services may use self-service kiosks at select locations or visit Postal Service Approved Shippers. Go to www.usps.com to find a location near you. Post Office will open and regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
