Richard “Dick” L. Roller

Richard “Dick” L. Roller, 87, of Peru (Cass County), passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, in his residence.

Born on July 7, 1936, in Logansport, Dick is the son of the late Virgil F. and Irene (Banta) Roller.  On August 30, 1996, in Logansport, Dick married Shannon Deford who survives.

Dick was a 20-year United States Army Veteran and had worked at Exide Battery Factory.  He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple, American Legion Post #60 and VFW Post #3790.  He loved playing cards and going out to eat.

Surviving Dick, along with his wife Shannon, are three sons, Billy (Donna) Roller of Logansport; Ron (Mary Sue) Roller of Woodbine, KS; Riley Blaine Lipps of Royal Center; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steave Alan Roller, sister, Sandra Orr, brother, Chester Roller, half-brother, Walter Yocum, and a granddaughter April Roller.

Per Dick’s request, there will be no services and he will be buried in the Pisgah Cemetery.
