Sandra L. “Sandy” Goudy

Sandra L. Goudy, 77, Logansport, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Chase Center.

Born December 8, 1946, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Hoch) Smith.

On June 14, 1964, in Wilkinson, Indiana, she was married to Charles L. “Goudy” who preceded her in death October 13, 2019.

Following graduation from beauty college, Sandy worked as a beautician. A loving wife and mother, Sandy was first and foremost a homemaker. She loved her family dearly. That love extended to her church family as well. She and Charlie were one of the founding families of the Church of Christ in Logansport. Her faith was the essence of her strength and grace.

Sandy was a fervent prayer warrior, and she enjoyed a card ministry that celebrated loved one’s birthdays and anniversaries and giving encouragement to those in need.

Sandy was a stellar dresser and always defined class. She loved shopping and knew where to find a good sale. Sandy enjoyed scrapbooking and art, collecting many beautiful pieces of artwork.

Surviving are her two sons, Lee (Traci) Goudy, Lafayette, and John Goudy, Logansport; two grandchildren, Braxton (Jenny) Roberts, and Hope (Maxx) Heathcote; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Levi and Isaac Roberts; and two brother-in-law, Gerald Goudy, Wilkinson. and Ken Jessup Anderson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Church of Christ at Logansport, 2347 Burlington Avenue with Jeff Strite officiating.

Friends will be received prior to the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. at the church.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Lunch provided by the church will follow after the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ at Logansport.
